Sorry for no recent updates. Spring is a busy time of year for us...and March starts the madness. Here are highlights of our month of March, and a little of April. Better late than never.
Easter pictures:
Addie and Matt coloring eggs
Hunting eggs at the Stone's
Doing some Easter baking w/MaJo
Matt fixing cookies
Addie and MaJo's finished product
Addie's checking out her Easter basket
Matt and "his buddy", Tomas, with their new bunnies
All dressed up. The picture doesn't do them justice...they were so cute!
An Easter craft with the fam
Hunting eggs...Matt and his prize egg
The craft completed..works of art
Boone's first Easter...he had a special day at church that morning...they called this precious family up to the front, gave Boone a Bible, and prayed over the family...it was really, really special. Especially being Easter morning, and my mom's first time back to church after her heart attack.
Pa and MaJo...so sweet!
Our visit to the circus...the kids had a blast...but the next morning was awful trying to get them out of bed (we went on Thursday night).
And Addie's kindergarten circus. She was a horse trainer...a good job for her. She did such a good job "training" the "horses", giving them horse shoes to wear (they were high heel fancy shoes), and led them in a horsey hustle (similar to a line dance). It was really, really cute.

Under my pillow....
...you'll find this:
Know what it is? Yes, it is a fuzzy picture of Addie's tooth. She lost her first tooth yesterday (Monday). She has been working on it for about a week or so, and pulled it herself at school yesterday. The tooth fairy came last night and took her tooth and left her money. She was very excited! I can't believe how quickly she is growing up. It breaks my heart. But she looks so cute with it gone. And man, they never stop teething do they??? They get teeth as babies, lose them, get some more, need braces, need wisdom teeth out...they teeth for 16-18 years don't they?? Maybe that's why our kids are irritable alot. Who knew?!? :)
(Her "haircut" is starting to grow a little, too!)
A fuzzy close-up
Here is a picture of Addie and Matt meeting Boone for the first time. Kids under 12 were not allowed in the nursery due to the flu, RSV, etc. so they had to meet him through the window of the nursery. They were so excited to meet him!!
Here is just a cute picture of them waiting to go to church on Sunday morning. They were all ready and were waiting on the cue from Jeff and I for them to head to the car. As they were waiting, Matthew laid down in the floor with his Leapster, and Addie sat down in the floor to watch. It was a quiet, sweet moment, which can be rare around our house these days. I was glad I had my camera handy to capture it.

Baby Boone
Baby Boone (my baby sister Holly's new little baby boy) made his entrance into this world on Wed. night, 2/20. It was a quicker than expected arrival, but very much welcomed!! He weighed 6 lbs and is 19 inches long (he is tiny!!!). And he is one of the calmest babies I've ever seen. He is just perfect. Congratulations, Holly and Levi. We are so happy for you, and can't wait to get there to see him again!!
All swaddled up...
Boone and his Aunt Heidi. He whimpered every time someone took him out of my hands :).
Boone and Pa.
I think his lips and nose are so precious!!

The Mission...
Jeff and I once again were blessed to be able to attend Winterfest in Gatlinburg this past weekend. Although the word awesome loses some of its' powerfulness because of its' overuse, the weekend was AWESOME in the truest sense of the word. The theme was "The Mission", and the sessions focused on...knowing Jesus, being Jesus, seeing Jesus, and sharing Jesus. It was incredible. I am completely transformed, I hope for that to be renewed every morning, and I am challenged to know Jesus, be Jesus, see Jesus, and share Jesus. I pray the same for you....

Two Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed....
...one fell off and bumped his head. Mama called the dr. and the dr. said...."4 stitches, a bandage, and tylenol...and no more jumping on the bed". Not the way I had envisioned spending my afternoon. But, he's fine now. It gashed it all the way to the bone...pretty gross. And I won't say the spouse who caused it. And we normally don't put bobby pins in his hair, but I had to do something to keep it out of the wound (Jeff is not proud of that at all!!).
Also, about a week ago, little Ms. Independent decided her hair in the front was bothering her, so, she just cut it all off. It looks pretty bad, but I think she learned a lesson...hopefully.

Our Weekend (without a camera)
We went to Cookeville this weekend. It was a pretty action packed weekend to only have been a day+half trip. We:
--visited my sister Holly in the hospital. She fell Friday morning and had to spend 24 hrs. in the hospital being observed. She is fine, and so is baby Boone, thankfully.,
--watched my nephew Jaxson play a basketball game. It was hilarious!,
--played at Jaxson and Heather's house.,
--visited my sister's (Haven's) new house. They are almost ready to move in and their home is beautiful!,
--went to a rodeo,
--went to church,
--celebrated Pa's (my daddy's) 60th birthday and my birthday.
We always have a great time visiting our sweet family in Cookeville. When I visit it really makes me want to move home. With all 3 sisters and their families, plus mom and dad being there, it is so tempting just to pack up and move. I know it would be different if I lived there, but still, it makes me really homesick. Enough of that whining. Hope each of you had a good weekend, too. We will be enjoying a day off from work tomorrow-Yea!

Uncle Levi
Addie and Matt's Uncle Levi, and my brother-in-law, is one of the most fun and funniest people that I know. He ALWAYS has a good time. This is what he showed up for Christmas dressed like. If you can't tell from the picture, it is plaid pants, a different plaid cardigan sweater, and a turtleneck with a picture of Santa on the neck. WOW!!! You never know what he is going to do...and that's what makes life so fun and interesting at the Harris' house! But he also has such a sweet heart. Thanks, Levi, for all the laughs. I can't wait for you to be a daddy.

Addie and Matthew Stone
Addie and Matt were tagged by Sophie/Amy to come up with eight things about themselves. These two children are so full of life that it is very hard to narrow it down to eight-but here's our best shot.
Addie Mae-5 years old
1. I love arts and crafts. One of my favorite things to do is draw and color with my daddy.
2. I love donuts, hot chocolate, roasting marshmallows, chips and cheese dip, and any kind of fruit. I am not a picky eater at all...but one thing I don't like is pizza. If I could choose where we would eat, I would choose Krystal, Chik-Fil-A, McDonalds, Zaxby's, or "the chinese place". (p/s-My mom and dad don't let me choose too much!)
3. I love all animals and I wish so badly that my mommy and daddy would get me one....specifically, a puppy.
4. I like to swim, tumble/gymnastics, and play on the playground with my friends. I love to be outdoors.
5. I like mostly girl things...glitter and sparkly things, dress-up, American Girl dolls, barbies, jewlery, etc. My favorite colors are pink and purple. But I can hang with boys and their toys, too. I have mostly boy cousins and I love to play with them.
6. Addie's own words: "I like to sing and to play, watch movies, and my desk". Mostly, I just love to have fun and be where the fun is. Sometimes that gets me in trouble...but that's OK.
7. I love books. I like to go to the library or look at my own books. I am starting to be able to read some of them by myself. I sometimes read to my brother. I like all kinds of books, but some of my favorites are Junie B. Jones, anything about a polar bear or penguin, Shel Silverstein books, and Dr. Suess.
8. I love all holidays!!! My very favorites are Christmas and Halloween.
Matthew Jeffrey-3 years old
1. I like to play with all boy things...monster trucks, cars, trains, motorcycles, airplanes, boats, superheros, etc. I escape to another world when I'm playing and sometimes can't hear anyone talking to me.
2. I spell my name "MTTA" when I write it myself.
3. Me and my sister have a love-hate relationship. We love each other more than anything in this world and have SOOO much fun together, but we can make each other SOOO mad. I also have lots of friends and very special cousins that I love to play with.
4. My very favorite thing in this world is my puppy (blanket). I sleep with him every night. And when I even see him, I start to have a strong desire to suck my thumb. But that's the only time I suck my thumb.
5. I still don't like to wipe my bottom when I sit on the potty....I'm afraid some will get on my hands.
6. I am picky and very orderly. I like to have my things/toys in place/order, my hair brushed nicely, my teeth brushed, etc.
7. I love to sing...I do it all the time. My daddy says I should've been born in the '50s b/c I tend to like doo-wop music, such as Monster Mash, Witch Dr., etc.
8. I don't like to try new foods. I sometimes throw up when I try something I don't like. Not on purpose, I just gag very easily.
Also, Pa and MaJo found these things at some craft show and got one for each of the grandkids for Christmas. They were amazed and thought it was a God thing that they had one with each of the kids names on them since they are not really that common of names and because of the spellings...Addie, Matthew, Tanner, Tomas, Jackson, and Boone. And then the descriptions on each of them matched each kid really closely. I just thought it would be neat to share. These pretty much sum up my kids, too.
Thanks Amy and Sophie. And anyone else that wants to give it a shot...please do. Just leave a comment so we can check it out.
