Roots

What is it about an hour and a half drive down a rural east-middle TN highway, eating Sunday lunch at my parents/grandparents house, spending the afternoon in my quaint hometown with my sweet family, that can almost instantly re-root and ground me? It's almost like a revival. And I don't really understand how it happens, but being "home" and in the country is all a person needs sometimes just to regroup and refocus. Thank God for my roots!!

I always feel like time stands still while I'm home. I don't pay attention to time and I don't feel like there's anywhere else I want/need to be. I agree, it's so nice to go "home"....
