Update

Where has this month gone? This summer is going way to fast. We have spent the last couple of weeks at 2 different VBSs (our kids LOVE VBS and that is one thing we definitely will not say no to), Jeff has already started soccer season/camp, and he has to report for in service in 2 weeks. That is so hard to believe. And I cannot believe that my baby girl is going to be starting kindergarten, and my baby boy will start Pre-K. What in the world? Time goes by so quickly!

Speaking of back to school, do any of you moms out there have any good suggestions on where to buy good kid's tennis shoes? It seems like every pair I buy, I have to replace in about 4 months or so. The very first pair I bought Addie, a pair of leather Merrells, were the best (and cutest) pair I ever bought and held up for over a year. But I can't find any good looking leather ones anywhere now (they are all mesh or something). I just hate to spend money on something that isn't going to hold up...and if it means spending $5-$10 more on a pair that lasts, I am fine with that.

I messed up so I had to re-write my message!! :)
I've gotten shoes for Sophie at Shoe Carnival (the name brands like Nike and New Balance) that have lasted forever!! I hate that place but they usually have a discounted price. Of course she doesn't do the wear and tear that older kids do so what works for her may not work for them! Payless shoes can be so cute sometimes but they never hold up!! Good luck and I'll check back to see other's suggestions!!

I may not be that much help. Dayne is so rough with his shoes. His last pair of 'nicer' 'tennis' shoes came from Stride Rite. I hate the price range but they have held up so far and that has been since Easter. Other wise, I had a pair of Nike's for him that we got at the Nike outlet, did great, but Dayne hit a growth spurt and out of them he was. Good Luck shopping for shoes. I just don't even know what size to buy my son right now, how sad is that.
